University of California, San Diego

The University of California, San Diego, also called UC San Diego or UCSD, is a four-year public research university founded in 1905 located in La Jolla, California, which is 12 miles north of San Diego on a 1,976-acre campus. Their school mascot name is the "Tritons". UC San Diego competes athletically in NCAA division II sports in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
