The University of California, Davis, also known as UC Davis, is one of the nations top four-year public research universities founded in 1905 located in Davis, California, which is 15 miles west of Sacramento on a 5,500-acre campus. Their school mascot name is the "Aggies". Davis competes athletically in NCAA division 1 sports in the Pacific 10 Conference.
